Elementary Biblical Greek I

This course is for Greek beginners, toddlers, forgetters, and up-graders with a desire to read and study the New Testament in its native tongue. We will approach the learning of an original biblical language from the perspective of humble reverence, disciplined motivation, joyful discovery, and personal holiness. Elementary Biblical Greek begins from a standing start—with an overview of basic linguistic concepts and the Greek alphabet (alpha beta)—and moves progressively through a study of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary toward reading and exegeting New Testament Greek texts.

Note: Students should plan to devote a minimum of three hours outside class time per class session in grammar review, reading practice, written exercises, vocabulary mastery, and quiz/exam preparation. This is a firm expectation, and no student should enroll who cannot commit to this guideline.
