In this course, we will complete the New Testament leg of our Journey Through Scripture by studying the books of Romans–Revelation, seeking to meet Jesus Christ in every page. We will begin our journey in the letters of the apostle and missionary to the Gentiles, St. Paul, tracing themes uniquely found in his writings.
Our study will continue through Hebrews and the Catholic Letters, observing how, like the writings of Paul, they form a unified “corpus,” with features and developments which sit harmoniously next to the theological developments in the Pauline corpus.
Finally, we will reach the climax of the Biblical theodrama in Revelation, where we will examine how the Cross of Christ accomplished what it was determined to do from the beginning of time, culminating in the endless reign of the Triune God in the New Heavens and New Earth, that is, the New Creation!
This course fulfills part of the Creation to New Creation: Journey Through Scripture from Genesis to Revelation certificate.
